About this course

A successful research project yielding quality survey results starts with a good survey. After seeing our fair share of surveys (both good and bad) over the years, we’ve learned some best practices that we would like to share with you. As the market research industry and the world we live in evolve, old survey design habits may be less effective than they once were, so we recommend reviewing these practices, even for the most experienced researchers.

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

  • Identify the purpose of a survey outline
  • Give an example of a double-barreled question
  • Report a reasonable recall window for respondents on their activities, uses, and purchases.
  • Differentiate between bipolar and unipolar scales
